Tag It For Ronald McDonald House Charities!
At the recent Stampin’ Up Convention in Brisbane we had a special guest drop by…
Ronald McDonald came to celebrate Stampin’ Up! choosing to make Ronald McDonald House Charities it’s charity of choice throughout the world. It’s been a supporter in North America for a long time but now it’s a global commitment. RMHC help families who have seriously ill children by offering them a place to stay near the hospital while their child receives treatment. To date Stampin’ Up! have donated over US$1,000,000 as well as endless hours of volunteer time.
They asked for demonstrator volunteers to help out in the houses and donations of cards to be made available to the guests. This means that the parents in the houses can send out thank yous to the people supporting them through such a hard time as well as attempt to keep up with the real world by sending birthday cards, etc. to their loved ones at home. I loved this idea so much I put my name down for the Monash House. I’m not sure what that will mean yet but I’m excited to find out.
In addition to the practical hands on help, each year there will be a specially designed stamp set. When you buy this stamp set $3 will be donated to the Ronald McDonald Houses in Australia. So you can make a difference too. And this year’s set is fantastic, and oh so versatile:
Tag It
Wood (130300) $39.95
Clear (130303) $31.95
And it co-ordinates perfectly with the new Chalk Talk framelits for the Big Shot:

Those of us at Convention were lucky enough to be given the stamp set, along with the new Tag A Bag Accessories Kit so that we could participate in the card donation project.

(130153) $13.95
Here are the cards and matching envelopes that I made and put into the donation box to be delivered to one of the Ronald McDonald Houses:
I love how you can use a whole ink pad to create a background layer when you don’t have any extra cardstock to add.
