I loved my classes this month!
This month’s class was a Christmas stamp-a-stack with everyone making eight cards. There was lots to keep everyone busy as they made two each of these two designs…
We used lots of my favourite products and everyone liked the projects. I always enjoy teaching classes but this month I had a particularly good time for a number of reasons. First and foremost, both classes had lovely groups of ladies, including new faces among the regular crowd, and everyone enthusiastically approached the production line tasks and chatted merrily away the entire time. Thank you all for being so much fun to spend time with!
On the first night Jenni accidentally got a smudged silver fingerprint on one of her cards. Instead of being worried about it or cross that it had happened she approached it like I do – as a design opportunity. She decided to cover the smudge with more stamping so I grabbed some more snowflakes and she stamped a new border around the edge of the panel. This was a classic case of a ‘mistake’ leading to a design choice that you end up liking more than the original. These are all Jenni’s cards, the ones on the left have the extra stamping, the ones on the right are my original design that now look like they have something missing.
I told the ladies at the second class about this and they all decided that Jenni’s addition was better and they ended up stamping borders around all of theirs. Thanks Jenni, you can smudge your stamping in my classes any time!
I can’t wait for my December classes now. They’ll be at 8pm on Thursday 11th, and 10am on Friday 12th December. More details coming soon.
Cheers
Genna
