New Talking Tags bring your cards to life!
Talking Tags are a brand new product for Stampin’ Up! that let you add your own recorded message to any card or craft project with the help of your smartphone. You can provide personalised greetings, include instructions, make a surprise announcement. It’s up to you.
Here’s how it works:
- Download the FREE TalkingTag™ App on you smartphone from talkingtag.mobi, iTunes® or Google Play™.
- Adhere the message tag to your card or gift.
- Open the TalkingTag™ App and scan the code.
- Record your message (recording starts immediately, so make sure you’re ready!).
You will have the opportunity to listen, re-record, cancel, or confirm your message after you’ve completed recording it. Each label allows up to 60 seconds of a greeting, song, or product message.
To play the message, recipients will need to download the app and scan the code. Messages are saved for two years, so they can listen to it over and over.

Helpful Tips:
- Adhere Talking Tag to a flat surface, otherwise the scanner can’t read the code.
- Multiple tags can be attached to one surface, but don’t place them too close together. When scanning a message, you shouldn’t be able to see another code on the screen
- Do not write or place any decoration over the label.
- Talking Tag has a permanent adhesive and cannot be repositioned once attached to a surface. Attempting to remove it could tear the label, making it impossible to listen to the content.
- A Talking Tag message label can only hold one message. Once a message is confirmed, it cannot be deleted or re-recorded.

Merry Christmas everyone!
I hope you had a splendid time with your families. I know I did. My Wonder Husband is from England and despite living out here since 2001 he still isn’t (or doesn’t want to be) used to the idea of Christmas in Summer. He loves the traditional turkey dinner – and thankfully loves to cook it too. So what did ‘his awesomeness’ do? He made it snow in our back yard so he could enjoy the Winter Christmas he craves!

As part of a recent advertising campaign in the US, Stampin’ Up! created some printable tutorials. Now they’ve provided them for us to share with you.

On the long road trip to Convention earlier in the year, the girls and I were talking about the features our ideal trimmer would have. Imagine our delight when this one was revealed to us – and it ticked all our boxes!

- Extra wide surface with 16cm grid so there’s no need to open the extension arm to cut either A4 or 12×12 cardstock in half.
- Lockable extension arm with support stand makes working with large pieces (up to 36cm) so accurate and easy.

More 3D Christmas Cards – Pennant Parade
When planning my October Class with the stack of 3D Christmas Cards I was inspired by some cards I’d designed for a workshop in early September, just before I’d received my order from the new catalogue. I didn’t have the new Ornament Keepsakes bundle then I so made a similar card using the tree from Pennant Parade and it’s matching punch instead.
This is a very similar card to the one for my class with the same colours and same tools, but I thought you might like to see how it can be adapted with different stamps. The greeting is from the new hostess set Wacky Wishes.
And this was another idea I played around with when designing the workshop cards. I liked this one but decided it was a bit too complicated for a make and take with a new group of ladies. I didn’t want to scare anyone off. I love the little deer from the Holiday Catalogue set Joyous Celebrations – I must find some new ways to use that!
Here’s a close up of the Itty Bitty Button. I gave this clear button some colour by using the matching punch and a scrap of Raspberry Ripple cardstock, which I stuck to the back of the button with a glue dot.
And here’s a tag I made some time ago that started the whole design process off. This one uses the Two Tags die and the Big Shot.

I’ve only used the Pennant Parade stamp set here for the Christmas tree but at first glance this isn’t a Christmas set at all. The combination of stamps and punch actually works really well to create banners for all sorts of occasions.
